Kamisuwa Environment Day 2 starts from Lake Suwa. Just looking at Lake Suwa is a waste! Let's take a trip out to the lake on the Suwa Lake Sightseeing Steamship. The 25-minute short trip around Lake Suwa takes you from the pleasure boat pier in Kamisuwa, passing through the artificial island of Hatsushima, off the coast of Shimosuwa pier, and around Okaya before returning to the pier. If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji. From the end of July to the end of August, the ``Kamisen'' sails every night. You can enjoy the fireworks lighting up the summer night sky from the boat. Dome boats are also operated in the fall and winter where you can fish for smelt.
