After conquering Odawara, Tokugawa Ieyasu entered the Kanto region and gave Kururi 30,000 koku to Tadamasa Osuga (Tadamasa Matsudaira), the eldest son of Yasumasa Sakakibara, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tokugawa. This was the establishment of the Kururi domain.
