Aizu samurai residence

Travel back in time to the end of the Edo period at the Aizu samurai residence

The Aizu Samurai Residence is lined with Aizu's historical buildings, including the restored residence of Saigo Yorimo, the chief retainer of the Aizu clan during the Boshin War, and is a spot where you can remember the life of the samurai at the time. Yorimo Saigo's mansion is a stunning building that spans 2,300 tsubo (2,300 tsubo) and uses plenty of wood. The dolls are used to recreate the life of the time. At the attached ``Handmade Experience Center,'' you can try your hand at painting akabeko or making a koboushi doll. In addition, you can take commemorative photos in period costumes and try your hand at archery.
